Amber Norris

 

Amber graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She has dedicated her life to the welfare of children working as a Social Worker, a teacher and as a Children's Minister. She currently teaches music at Prestonwood Christian Learning Center in Prosper, Texas. Amber lives in the Denton area with her husband, Zac, and their two children. She enjoys working in Women's Ministry and Children's Ministry at their church, Shawnee Trails Church of Christ in Frisco. In her spare time she loves to read, journal in her Bible and go on as many family adventures as she can post.

Elise Thompson

 

Elise is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has worked in the Dallas area as a therapist for over 14 years. She earned an undergraduate degree in Family Studies and Education from Abilene Christian University and a Master's in Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University.   Her personal ministry experience includes facilitating a faith-based growth group called Hope at Greenville Oaks at the Greenville Oaks Church of Christ for fourteen years and six years as a leader for Bible Study Fellowship.  Elise has been married to Tim Thompson for 28 years and they have three children. Her personal interests and hobbies include reading, walking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Kerri Jacobs

 

Kerri Jacobs attended Abilene Christian University where she met & later married Tim Jacobs.  She transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University where Tim was enrolled in the School of Pharmacy and graduated from SWOSU in 1989 with a degree in Elementary Education. Kerri has 4 amazing children and a brand new daughter-in-law. They provide the spark and zest that keeps her calendar full.  She was an elementary teacher for many years but gave that up to join her husband in opening Jacobs Family Pharmacy where she works running the office and keeping the gift shop stocked with wonderful items. While she would love to have many hobbies, right now she finds herself with time to enjoy her children’s activities & occasionally read.  Kerri was an elementary teacher by profession but found a role within the church that led her to adult education.  She is passionate about women’s ministry and truly feels, as ladies, we have a POWERFUL ROLE in the ministry of Christ.

Danielle Turner

 

Danielle graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Communication. She completed a post baccalaureate internship in education and taught at the High School and Junior High levels for several years in the areas of Speech, Science and Home Economics. Danielle has been writing curriculum and speaking for ladies retreats for the past 15 years and has recently authored her first book.  Danielle lives in Dumas, Texas with her husband Jeff and their 2 children. She enjoys sewing, cooking (and eating), camping with the family and volunteering for the local school district, the community and at their home congregation of Sunray Church of Christ.

"You Glo Girl" : A study of the nature of God and how He relates to light.

 

"Live by the Sword" : This presentation is presented by both Danielle and Amber. It includes a lesson on Bible Journaling techniques (Draw your Sword), and two lessons on practical applications of God's word in your life (Sharpen your Sword and Wield your Sword).
